Joanne Helman’s still life paintings are compositionally restrained, emphasizing light, shadow, and form through meticulous oil technique and layered brushwork. Trained in London, England, she pursued a career in art buying before turning fully to painting later in life. Her enlarged subjects, often isolated or grouped in quiet clusters, blend contemporary precision with classical sensibility.
