Charles Spratt is a nationally recognized artist, who is represented in fine galleries in British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario. The artist has been painting professionally for more than 35 years with more than 25 solo gallery exhibitions to date.

Charles taught watercolours and acrylics at a number of Ontario college summer schools for ten years and has given workshops across Canada. He has appeared on television on several occasions to demonstrate his talent as a painter. In 2007, along with nine nationally recognized artists representing the 10 provinces of Canada, he was invited to represent Ontario at a ten – day art symposium in Baie-Saint Paul, Que. His large acrylic, Dickinson Days, produced at that symposium, was purchased in Newfoundland during the subsequent cross-Canada exhibition.

He has painted the Canadian landscape from the Rockies to Newfoundland. More recently his plein air painting trips are for the most part to Charlevoix and the Eastern Townships of Quebec and Algonquin Park and Eastern Ontario. He has won many awards for work both in watercolour and more recently in acrylics.

Charles Spratt is a past president and Fellow of the Ottawa Watercolour Society (OWS). He is an elected signature member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour (CSPWC), the Society of Canadian Artists (SCA) and the Ontario Society of Artists (OSA).
His home and studio are located in the Village of Manotick within the City of Ottawa.
